There are fans who remember seeing BATTLESTAR GALACTICA for the first time on TV. There are the fans that have seen it only on video and in syndication. There are even potential fans that love science fiction, but haven�t yet had the opportunity to see it!
One thing is certain: There are many fans that want BATTLESTAR GALACTICA revived. Be a part of it. Join the effort and make it happen!
Richard Hatch has committed his time and money to bring back the original series with the original cast and themes, and he intends to ignore the events in GALACTICA:1980. He has invested his own funds and produced a trailer for the project that he has been showing to officials at Universal Studios, StudiosUSA, and to lucky fans at conventions around the world. He has raised over $60 million dollars in commitments and he intends to proceed with the project as soon as a deal can be struck with Universal Studios or StudiosUSA. It is our understanding that Universal Studios owns the rights to any Theatrical production, while StudiosUSA owns the rights to any Television Production. Contrary to what you may have heard, no decision has been reached on who will bring the show back.
Universal may also be considering a project by the shows creator Glen A. Larson (who is responsible for the now-cancelled "Nightman") and Todd Moyer (who brought us "Barb Wire," "Virus," and "Wing Commander"). Their plan is to discard the original cast except for a couple of short cameos and to change the theme of the show! Even the "Galactica" itself only has a cameo! It won�t work: Remember "GALACTICA:1980"?!?
PLEASE HELP US MAKE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AND STUDIOSUSA UNDERSTAND THAT WE WANT ALL OF THE ORIGINAL CAST AND THEMES BACK, AND THAT NEW CHARACTERS CAN BE AN ADDITION -- NOT A REPLACEMENT -- TO THE ORIGINAL ACTORS!!
Richard Hatch understands this, and Glen A. Larson could too! Wouldn�t it be great if he came on board with Richard Hatch and brought back the show we all love the way the fans want to see it!
